Clay Fischer, CEO
Clay and Jeanne Fischer formed Woodland Construction in 1987, and tilted their first building in 1988. Clay fell in love with tilt-up construction while working for a large Atlanta contractor. Since then, tilt-up has become synonymous with Woodland and the decision was made to officially change the name to Woodland Tilt-Up.
He is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor, and is also a Certified Architectural Tilt-Up contractor by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association.
Clay actively participates in the concrete industry organizations, serving on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) and as a past president. He serves as a Board member of Associated Builders and Contractors–Florida East Coast Chapter, and as a past chairman. Clay is past president of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), and member of the Tilt-Up Supervisor Certification committee of the American Concrete Institute and serves on the Executive Advisory Council for the Concrete Industry Management program at Middle Tennessee State University. In 2007, he was selected as one of the “10 Most Influential People in the Concrete Construction Industry” by Concrete Construction magazine. Clay Fischer was the recipient of TCA’s Murray Parker Memorial Award in recognition of a contractor who has significantly contributed to the Tilt-Up industry.
As CEO of Woodland Tilt-Up, Clay spends much of his time working with owners, developers, and design professionals to help them understand if tilt-up is a good fit for their projects.
Clay and Jeanne have lived in Jupiter for over 22 years, and enjoy cruising to new places, getting together with industry friends, and basically having fun!
